Hi, I’m Phyl!

I’m a lapsed travel writer and photographer and have been absent from these pages for too long.

My niche is: “adaptive re-use of space” which translates to re-using or re-purposing old buildings for a new life while retaining their historic integrity. This is gaining momentum world wide and we are seeing old buildings such as banks and post offices transformed into high fashion boutique hotels, abandoned warehouses becoming restaurants and coffee houses, and revivifying entire neighborhoods that would otherwise have been flattened by the bulldozer. What’s old is new again and people love the patina of age that enhances these developments and sets them apart from new construction.
